Warranty Policy

A clear look at what our limited warranty covers, how long it lasts for each type of product, and exactly how to raise a claim if something goes wrong.

Updated April 2026

Every SONASHI product is built to handle real life in a real home. On the rare day that a fault shows up, we want you to know exactly what the warranty promises, what it leaves out, and how to reach a human who can help.

01

What our warranty covers

SONASHI stands behind every product that leaves our warehouse. Each new appliance and electronic that we sell comes with a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, starting from the date shown on your original invoice or store receipt.

If a product stops working properly because of something we got wrong during manufacturing, we will either repair the unit using genuine parts, swap it for an equivalent model, or refund the original purchase price. The exact outcome depends on the age of the product, the nature of the fault, and what is practical for both sides.

This warranty applies to products bought from sonashi.ae or from any authorised SONASHI reseller inside the United Arab Emirates, and it covers normal household use only. Units used in shops, restaurants, hotels, clinics, exhibitions, or other commercial settings are not eligible for this cover.

02

Warranty period by product category

Different products have different warranty lengths because they are built with different parts and used in different ways. The table below gives you a quick overview. Your invoice always shows the exact period that applies to the specific product you bought, so please keep it safe.

  • Small kitchen appliances such as kettles, toasters, blenders, and mixers: one year from the date of purchase.
  • Large kitchen appliances such as microwaves, ovens, and dishwashers: one year from the date of purchase.
  • Personal care products such as shavers, trimmers, hair dryers, and irons: one year from the date of purchase.
  • Home comfort products such as fans, heaters, humidifiers, and air coolers: one year from the date of purchase.
  • Audio and video products such as speakers, home theatres, and DVD players: one year from the date of purchase.
  • Selected large white goods and premium product lines: two years from the date of purchase, where clearly stated on the product box or invoice.

Batteries, chargers, remotes, filters, and other consumable parts usually carry a shorter cover of three to six months, since they are designed to be replaced from time to time.

03

How to make a warranty claim

Making a claim is meant to be simple. If your SONASHI product develops a fault that looks like it should be covered, you have two clear routes to choose from.

Option one: visit the retailer where you bought it

If you bought the product in person from a SONASHI reseller, you can carry it back to the same store for an in store inspection. Retailers handle exchanges based on their own return windows, so please check with them first if you are close to the end of the warranty period.

Option two: send it to an authorised SONASHI service center

For products that need proper diagnostic work, the best route is an authorised SONASHI service center. Get in touch with our customer care team first so we can point you to the nearest location and let the technicians know you are coming. Shipping the product to the service center is your responsibility, so please pack it carefully inside the original box whenever that is possible.

04

Documents you will need

Before you drop off or ship the product, please gather a few basic documents. Having these ready makes the whole process much faster.

  • Your original tax invoice, receipt, or order confirmation email showing the purchase date.
  • The warranty card that came inside the product box, if one was included.
  • A short written description of the fault, including the first date you noticed it and how often it happens.
  • Clear photos or a short video of the fault, especially if the problem is visual or intermittent.
  • A contact number and email address where our technicians can reach you once the inspection is done.
05

What is not covered

A warranty protects you against problems that are genuinely our fault. It is not a replacement plan for damage caused by everyday accidents or misuse. Your claim will not be covered in the situations below:

  • The product has been dropped, soaked, overheated, or exposed to conditions outside what the user manual recommends.
  • Damage was caused by foreign objects such as food spills, insects, sand, or liquids that should not have been inside the unit.
  • The fault is due to a power surge or a poor quality electricity supply rather than a defect in the appliance itself.
  • Repairs or modifications were attempted by a workshop that is not an authorised SONASHI service center.
  • The serial number, barcode, or tamper label on the product has been removed, scratched, or altered in any way.
  • The item was used in a shop, salon, restaurant, office, school, or any other commercial or rental setting.
  • Cosmetic parts such as front panels, cabinets, decorative trim, glass, handles, knobs, and accessories, together with wear parts such as belts, brushes, and filters.
  • Loss of data, loss of time, food spoilage, or any other indirect consequence of a product fault.

If you are unsure whether your situation is covered, please contact us before you ship anything. We will take a look at your photos and let you know what to expect.

06

How warranty service works

Once your product reaches a service center, a technician inspects it to confirm the fault and to check that the cover is valid. Standard inspections take between three and seven working days, though more involved repairs may take a little longer if special parts have to be ordered.

If the fault is covered by the warranty, the repair, replacement, or refund is offered free of charge. If the inspection shows that the issue is outside the cover, we will contact you with a friendly paid repair quote, and you are free to accept or decline it. Products that are declined for repair can be collected from the service center or returned to you at cost.

When a product is replaced under warranty, the new unit carries the remainder of the original warranty period rather than a fresh one, which is the standard practice across the appliance industry.

07

Limitation of liability

This warranty is the only promise we make about the condition and performance of your SONASHI product. It replaces any other warranty, express or implied, except for the statutory rights you have as a consumer under United Arab Emirates law, which are not affected by anything on this page.

SONASHI and Joint Ven Trading Co. LLC are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a product fault, including loss of earnings, loss of stored food, loss of data, or the cost of arranging a temporary replacement. Our total liability under this warranty is limited to the price you paid for the product.

08

Authorised service centers

Our authorised service centers are located across the United Arab Emirates so that wherever you live, a repair option is close by. Each center is staffed by technicians trained on SONASHI products and stocked with genuine spare parts.

For the current list of service center addresses, opening hours, and phone numbers, please visit our service centers page or call our customer care team and we will guide you to the closest one.

09

Changes to this warranty

We may update the warranty terms now and then to reflect new products, new service centers, or changes in UAE consumer law. Any change is posted on this page with a fresh update date at the top. The version that applies to your product is the one that was published on the day you bought it.
